Oftentimes we view massage as something reserved for special occasions and mostly when we are on vacation. But, massage therapy is not simply something “extra” to do to pamper yourself, it is a holistic therapy with a myriad of physical and mental benefits.
If you need a car to go to work, you will probably want to take care of it so it will last longer, right? And not just that, you want it to work efficiently and look good. Well, it should be the same with our bodies and minds because they are the vehicle that allows us to navigate the adventure of life. It is of utmost importance to look after them; getting a regular massage will improve the quality of your life.
Physically some of the benefits you will get to experience are:
- Better blood circulation wherever the massage is applied
- Improvement in the lymph flow (the release of toxins)
- Relaxation of tense or sore muscles
Mentally, a massage will:
- Help with anxiety and restlessness levels
- Relieve mental stress
- Lower cortisol levels which have the ability to destroy the immune system’s defensive lineup
Massage will also help with the appearance of your skin, making it look healthier and cleaner because it causes the sebaceous glands to function better! A massage will help your body eliminate toxic waste that we accumulate from poor diets and pollutants in the environment.
As you can see, you don’t have to wait till your vacations to get a massage. Your body and mind deserve it anytime.
This Ayurvedic treatment is a key component of Ayurvedic therapy to promote positive health. Receiving an Ayurvedic massage regularly:
- strengthens the nervous system
- increases longevity
- overcomes fatigue
- normalizes sleep
The Ayurvedic massage will be conducted on a regular massage table where tapping, kneading and squeezing as well as the more traditional massage strokes will be used in a session.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, the Ayurvedic oil, style and flow of the treatment is determined by who you are, and what your body needs for balance and well being at the time. You will indulge in the soothing touch of my hands to experience the profound art of balancing the delicate connection between body, mind and spirit through this detoxifying massage technique.

Tok Sen is an ancient and unique healing practice dating back 5000 years and developed by Buddhist monks in Northern Thailand and Myanmar. Tok means to tap and Sen refers to the 72,000 energetic lines found in the body. This technique involves the use of a sacred wooden hammer and wedge to gently and rhythmically tap along the energy lines in the body to relax the muscles and clear blocked energy.
Tok Sen creates a deep healing vibration that works deeply through the fascia and muscles, and its consecutive taps and continuous movement along the sen lines will not only disperse energy, but it will also:
- Relieve physical aches and pains
- Improve blood circulation
- Boost the immune system
- And relieve stress and anxiety.
